Uptown Graphics is a grand format printer/design shop located in Uptown New Orleans, Louisiana. We were founded 14 years ago as a pre-press shop specializing in drum scanning, photo manipulation, and contract proofing services to advertising agencies, offset printers, and screen printers. We have certified over 70,000 PDFs in our time and as technology changed and everyone became everything. Everyone was a photographer, a movie director, a NFL football player, a web designer, a graphic designer, a photoshop expert, and service bureau. Uptown Graphics was faced with a decision of digital/offset printing vs. grand format in 2004. We figured that we would leave offset to the experts and take a leap into grand format. We already were building digital files for pole banners, taxi tops, billboards and bus/vehicle wraps for years.
