Description: Mayor Mitch Landrieu’s inauguration was to display Landrieu’s campaign for a true one New Orleans. ”It all begins with one single step…” Landrieu said, “One team. One fight. One voice. One city.”
Execution: After meeting with the City of New Orleans and Gallier Hall officials we concepted a way to display these banners without causing damage to the building. The significance of the piece was that this was actually installed way ahead of schedule. However, Mother Nature chimed in with serious winds and rains causing us to remove the banners Saturday morning. We began re-installing with lifts at 2 a.m. Monday morning to be completed by 7 a.m. The result was a beautiful ceremony to a new beginning.
